How long is it before you start to lose points from playing your last ranking game if you have a ranking score over 800?

i.e if you finished playing at 8pm one night should you lose 0.3 points by just after midnight (4hrs or so later) ??

This is only my guess, never really looked closely at this, but I would assume there is a given time of day at which the deductions are applied - regardless of when you played last.

once you are over 800 you lose the rank deduction at midnight every night until you are back at 800.00

Surely as the aim was :-

"To prevent player's simply retiring when they are top of the rankings"

It would make more sense to only deduct points from players who dont play every day... i.e. if the last day a player plays is thursday then the deduction wouldn't start until the Friday night at midnight. This would mean that regular, daily players werent penalised and would be more in line with the intention of the rule. As it stands every player is penalised! Any player over 925 needs to win 7 points a week just to stand still!!
