this happens to me when I get close to the word limit on a post....it only seems to happen on one computer (the one im using now) which is at my dads house.

we use Firefox.

I always tend to get that too (using firefox too, haven't tested with IE)

Seems the count is a tad off sometimes, failing the total length check despite the counter you have while typing seems just fine

change to Microsoft Internet Explorer Providede by Wanadoo that should do the trick

great help pool_fool lol. i actually have firefox and internet explorer (i dont why) but anyway i have never sufferred this problem with firefox so i not know what to say there, but you still can try internet explorer see if that makes a difference but it may not even be the internet program im no expert at this but that the help I can give you.

Did some more testing, and I see the same in both my (rather ancient and craptastic) IE, as well as firefox and even Safari on my iPhone lol. So doesn't seem browser related.

Alright, on the above test, the offset between the remaining characters counter you see while typing, vs what is accepted when hitting the Post button is precisely two characters.

(It did not accept the post at 0 or 1 remaining, but does accept it at 2+)

It's a known small issue, it just occurs because carriage returns and smileys etc aren't included as you type and are only counted when you go to submit the post.

For now, just delete a couple of words and be thankfull this isn't yet another generic invisionfree forum you're posting on
