Ive just bought a renault clio, but the radio's locked =/ it requires a 4 digit code to unlock it.

The previous owner doesn't know it, and everywhere wants to charge me £10 - £20 just to find out =D

Does anyone know how to get radio decodes for free?

ive got the serial number/product key.

£10 - £20 is better than buying a new stereo though

have you looked in the manual you get with the car, you normally find that in the glove box . or they used to put it on the back of the stereo, probally dont now but worth a look

if none of the above work- try sticking it in the freezer- some units unscramble the code that way-

haha =D.

Ok, i've checked under radio, in book that came with car, in glove compartment, everywhere. Guess i'll have to pay £20 to listen to my cars own cd player LOL.

Thought it was 10, went on the site that SAYS it's £10 earlier, and turns out my model is £20. ridiculous!

thanks anyway guys.
