What always amuses me is when people post things like "whats the point in this thread? nobody will reply to it" whilst completely missing the irony of what they're saying

The more ideas and questions the better. Some great features have come out of things that get buried the first time they are mentioned.

Thats the reason there are no polls here - all ideas are debated and discussed, whether they be brilliant or pointless.

If you really must read an idea you want to see capped, simply copy it to a notepad file and read it there. I promise no-one else will post on it

Ok, lets just cap every thread that has answered a question then? I think not talented.

we have all in our time of forum posted a thread or 2 that should be capped!

this section is called 'Game Queries' and in the sub title it does say that it is for asking questions.

I cant personally answer the question but lets not just request every thread to be capped!

I didn't mean to antagonize people, I just don't see the point in cluttering up the forum when the question could have been answered by one mod over a quick personal message?

The advantage of using the forums is that other's get to read the question and reply, and get to offer views etc if they have any other opinions on the issue.

Additionally, the topic may move on (as this one has done) and end up discussing something else, so its all good.

Fair enough, I hold my hands up Grrr thwarted by spinner!
