I was playing UK in a tournament. In UK, there are no 3 fouls in a row rule but this guy, he got 4 fouls in a row.

I still didnt win after that (i won that game, i was having a bad streak) but to get 4 fouls in a row....thats poor.

So maybe I think in UK, maybe not a 3 foul rule but what about a 4 or 5 consectutive fould game end?? It woyuld happen very rearly but if u get to 4 fouls in a row, r 5, you deserve to lose!

I dont really like that idea. It's part of the game to have infinte amount of fouls lol. I think the foul rule should stay unique to 9 ball.
I see your point anyway. but isnt tht what the carry is for?

In one of your last threads, you suggested that we find ways to promote attacking play - now your suggesting a new method of winning by playing for snookers???

bad idea! 8 ball UK is the home of snookering! take that away and it would decrease so much in popularity! That is why defensive players like it because of the snookering

lol not exactly.

I was playing my useral attacking way and this guy just sucked. 4 fouls in a row is just to much.

And martin, even if snookers came around more, surely someone can get one out of 5 attempts after being snookered!! and after 3 or 4 fouls, you lose anyway unless u play someone thats crap like me

If your opponent fouls 3 times in a row then you should have already cleared the table before he can foul for a fourth of fifth time

I'm sure it was meant as a joke, but edited just to make sure.

Well, if you are good enough to have a challenging tactical play, most likely you would end up with 2 shots in hand anyway so not much use in the fouls idea.

Well, im sure nick has made funkypool & funkysnooker following the profesional rules for the game types, as in us the 3 fouls is an official game rule in real life, i think that it should stay as realastic as possible as its much better.
