Legendary motorcycle stuntman and general lunatic Evel Knievel passed away today, amazingly, of natural causes. He was 69.
Might not mean much to a lot of people here but those of us old enough to be kids in the 70's will remember his televised jumps as must-see TV.
(well they were for me anyway!)
No CGI to help him out!

I had one of your wind up stunt bikes in the 70's, pure brilliance and made me the motorcyclist iam today, except im scared of heights so the grand canyon can wait

awesome mate
although all i had was the red wind up part and the bike with the figure, we made our own ramps up with wood and bricks in them days.....the same wood and bricks we used to jump over on our raleigh choppers and tomohawks
