Whats the point in these clans? I mean is there any worth in having one or being involved in one? You get nothing for winning, nothing for being in one and really nobody seems bothered to be in one.

Is this just a lost cause being dragged through the ages ?

rubbish, i think if ppl actually bothered like really bothered it would be a gr8 laugh, you and your mates v another clan to me sounds very good.
i really would like to have a clan, or be in one but as you say ppl seem to give up too easily.
if properly organised it would be quality.
Prehaps the admins could sort out a league somehow avoiding the unreliable ppl on here.
to me it sound really fun

It would be quality if there were clan tournaments similarly run to the tournaments.

Absolutely no idea how it would be implemented, just a passing thought.

Clans used to be pretty good back in the day, though it's just died away now.

The sheer numbers on the site now make clans less likely to work.

They worked better in the past when there were fewer, but more dedicated, players.

I would say that for a clan v clan series to work now, you would have to se minimum requirements for entrants to both clans :

* Signed up for at least 6 months
* At least 500 games played in total
* Regular daily results for 15 out of the past 20 days to show activity.

Make sense?

how would a 'clan league' work ? It wouldn't, ever ever ever work.

If we have an admin and a mod on this thread saying it doesn't work, why is it still here and why does it have its own forum?

^^^ I just explained why they generally dont work now, but how they could be organised so they do.

Fact is the forum is still well used, whatever the outcomes may be

Another factor is timescales.

People also tend to be very impatient now, only allowing a few days for games to be played.

Because some and i mean only some do work, and if we didn't have this forum it would clutter up the other forums

i agree, if you could get a bunch of the regulers then it could be simple, but theres always a dodgy player involved.

if it was done like is said in a previous thread about messaging a few freinds first you may get yourself a couple of decent clans
