Group 2 is rediculous. When you look at a group and think LATVIA actually have a chance, you know something's not quite right. NONE of those teams should be playing in the World Cup.

Spain will be the first team to qualify. Nice easy group for them.

Czech Rep, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia all in the same group will be interesting.

Scotland have a strong chance. Holland's squad is awful at the moment. They'll lose Seedorf, van Nistelrooy and van der Sar by the time the qualifiers actually start too. Norway might surprise a few people too.

Portugal, Switzerland, Czech Rep, Germany, Spain, England, France, Italy and Holland to qualify automatically.

Sweden, Poland, Russia, Belgium, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Norway (nothing against Scotland, I'll actually be supporting them. I just fancy the Norwegians for some reason) as the 8 best runners-up.

Sweden, Poland, Croatia and Serbia to get through the play-offs providing none of them play each other.

To be fair, most neutrals would expect Bulgaria to finish ahead of Ireland, whereas Norway finishing above Scotland would be considered a bit of a shock outcome at the moment... that's why I put the bit in brackets after mentioning Norway. Didn't think it was necessary for Ireland. Same for Wales and N. Ireland.

I think that group 2 is shocking Moldova, Latvia, Luxembourg they could make it to the finals. If they do they will get pumped.

Greece won euro 2004, Israel beat russia to give us a chance and we drew with them, Switzerland will beat moldova, latvia and luxembourg as well,

as for the home nations

england have arguably one of the easiest groups tho croatia will provide a good test for the new manager and ukraine are no mugs

ireland can get out of that group depending on who they appoint now as manager at least to a playoff

scotland could cause a shock tho i feel they wont

It's easily the weakest in the UEFA zone qualifiers (actually I think 1 or 2 of the African groups are stronger even).

I wouldn't list ANY of the group 2 teams in my world top 20, maybe not even a European top 20. That's pretty bad considering one of them is guaranteed a place at the World Cup, and maybe at the expense of someone like Sweden or Croatia.
