Who else would pay one manager £5million a year, when the international going-rate is about one tenth of that, and then employ an unproven and generally unsuccessful replacement because they were devoid of any other ideas.

And as for a new manager...Jose is a disgrace to football. He's rude, arrogant, and just took the worlds most expensive & potentially exciting team and turned them into a scrappy, negative 1-0- scraping defensive outfit.

Capello, O'Neill or Redknapp are all good for me.

But whoever takes it on should understand that they're not managing a world class team. Only the English media think England are world class and have some devine right to win tournaments. The rest of us, who've had to put up with England messing everything up for years, know better.

Personally, I think Ottmar Hitzfeld and Marcello Lippi are the best managers around (their records aren't half bad either). I seriously doubt either of them would want the England job though.
