Google answers was a service that you could pay a modest sum (say $20) to ask any question from computer related queries to animal care questions to anything really.

One of many Google ferrets would find the answer specific for you and deliver it in a nice report.

Unfortunately it was shut down, anyone know of a good alternative?

dont know if this will help but http://www.ehow.com helps me find out answers for everything i want to know
