what in your opinion shows the better players of the game and why ? and who are they based on your opinion ? me personally think its tourneys as ranks can be manipulated and falsed, therefore top 10 players of game are the top 10 in tourney wins table, what you lot think ?

not poor player, but rank can be fixed, and with no tourney wins to his name, would in my opinion put him behind my first choice top players of game,.

It takes time to win tournies. So you could say maybe both rank and tourny wins could make up the 'who is the best'?
I think the stats speak volumes!

Rank doesn't say much about a player - especially now after new, pure "tourny" accounts have apparently become so popular
I agree tho, if you want to look at stats to evaluate a player, tourny wins combined with win/loss rate is definitely the way to go.
The far better solution tho is to play people a lot tho - no better way in the world to make up an opinion on not only how good they are but also HOW they play.

For me i would say
UK8 - Runouts, 7 Ballings , win %.
US8 - Again , Runouts, 7 Ballings , win % , and possibly tournament wins.
US9 - I just go by the first game on how good they are.
Personally i dont think rank or tournament wins mean as much as they used to do , they dont give a true reflection on how good the players are.

No one's listening. Da Vinci didn't paint without the colour blue, Mozart didn't compose without the the key g-. You see where I'm going? The whole ranking and stats system is there to paint a picture, so you can read it all and make sense. Tourny wins don't mean everything, it's every stat that means everything!

Nope sorry i disagree John , take Newbie for instant you excpect them to be a real newbie yet you get hammered by them, i find this is happening more and more.Same with intermediate
I just normally go by the first game only way to know how good they are regardless of whats some stats say.
The stats give some form of indication on how good they are to a point .but not aswell as just playing them, i never look at the stats. they turn up to the game and we just play. Only way to get a good judgement on how good they actually are

You're actually agreeing with me in an odd way!
Win percentage can usually point out a 'fake' newbie!
So I'm right, the stats as a whole can paint a picture!
