I tried to send an abuse complaint and the system told me i can only do this once every 30 minutes.

Can't that be changed to once every 5 minutes or a time limit not so long. I dont want to have to waste moderaters time with threats and verbal abuse but it happens.

the reason for this every 30mins is that if you could send as many as you liked the admin would have a lot of spam problems.

a great idea - if there are no mods or admins on ask a mate or someone you know to watch your game and if the abuse continues they can send the complaint - just a little idea

Dark_cloud, i can understand your point which is why i didn't say to do away with it totaly, but in my case i was trying to complain about two seperate player's with two seperate incidents.

I dont know many people now who play the same person for more then 30 minutes at a time. In that 30 minutes i might of played 10 people and if i felt i had to report 3 of them i couldnt because i would have to wait to long.

I like your adition their Av_it, But i dont really know many people on this game none well enough to do that for me.

The reason it's 30 minutes is to avoid spamming from members.

Also, it's more than likely that a moderator will be online, or you could ask another member in chat (a friend or whoever) to send one too, communication helps.

Their were moderators online, but i can appreciate how busy you guy's get and don't feel i should waste your time with people making idle threats and the like.

Sorry you had to end up in this position ffilteg.

I accept it would have been frustrating, but all the suggestions on this thread are good. (ask a friend to send report, and/or talk to a mod)

Yeh we are busy at times, but it's member priority, and we do our best to make everyone happy and have the best gaming experience around.

ive always been curious...if we pm a mod asking them to come and stop someone abusing us then the chances are the abuse would stop when the mod entered, does the mod have the ability to check back through the chat before they entered the room? and if so is that ability only available if the user has sent a complaint or can that be done anytime?

Currently a moderator entering a room can only see what is said from when they enter.

This is why a mod will often request someone in the room to send complaint, so that the chat can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.

You will understand moderators cannot act on something they have not seen, however the presence of the mod in the room will ususally calm the situation. If it doesn't, then they have means of dealing with the problem

ok thanks spinner thats what i pressumed but thought now would be a good time to ask, i pressume this is different for admin and they can review any complaints sent through, i was going to ask if all chats recorded but i pressume it has to be otherwise it wouldnt work (as in you would have to send complaint before the abuse was done so the system could start recording.)

Guess ive just answered my own questions there and just felt like typing

Sometimes its just good to get it out there!

Does no harm for people to understand how the system works so they know how best to handle awkward or unpleasant situations.
